About A Smile was founded on a simple idea: orthodontic and pediatric dental care should feel as personal as it is effective — for every family, at every age. Behind it is a husband-and-wife team: Dr. Daniel Schwab, a second-generation NYC dentist, leads orthodontics, and Dr. Vanessa Cohen, a thoughtful pediatric dentist, leads care for our youngest patients.
Ours is a multi-generational practice in the truest sense: Dr. Schwab's father practiced dentistry in New York for decades before retiring, and the values he built his chairside care on — patience, honesty, and knowing every patient by name — carry on here every day.
Both practices welcome every age, from a child's first visit through adult orthodontic care, with the same warmth and clinical rigor. Many of our families come to us across generations: a grandparent, a parent, a child — often in the same week.
